It did drag on a bit, but I did like knowing the back story to certain characters. So all in all I would absolutely recommend. As I read this book, I was more and more impressed at the imaginative complexity and depth of this story. He's been hunting Gunderson, a self-styled bank robber and all around bad guy for months. Finally nabbing him - or nearly so- at the scene of a bank robbery, it all goes south from there. His daughter his kidnapped by the n'er-do-well and the hunt is on. An exciting chase takes place - even into the supernatural. Well written book by Robert Gregory Browne. Kiss Her Goodbye was fast paced, well written and I loved the other world twist. I loved this book. I picked it randomly because it sounded good. And just kept reading. It had everything in it that I like to read, action, mystery, and a little bit of paranormal. My first thought this would make a great movie and then I read the afterword by the author and read that they started to make a series of this but then didn't do it.
Please make this a movie or series. The idea of a race to save a loved one who has been buried alive certainly isn't a new one, but the author is a good story continue reading and hooked me early. The action starts fast and doesn't let up until the midway point.

That's where he started to lose me. It was like a different writer stepped in with a supernatural angle. Pacing changed, and the ending was a let down. I bought this book after reading the exciting sample chapter, but after reading a few more chapters I lost interest and ended up fairly disappointed.
