Frequently bought together is the kissing booth boohh book I didn't find this story on WattPad; ks mom told me about how a 17 year old had gotten a 3-book deal with Random House after the publishing company found her story online.

Because of the fact that it was the publishing house, itself, that contacted HER, I thought that what I was going to be reading would be better than what it was. Master of the Universe did not impress me when it was fan fiction, and since James didn't make any changes when she actually published, I don't like the actual book either. There ARE some really great fanfic writers out there, who I think would be amazing if they wrote their own work. However, check this out this being an original is the kissing booth a book, Reekles is NOT one of those online writers that actually has impressive potential unfortunately. Her story is way too cliched. In the case of The Kissing Booth, it's just one big cliche that repeats itself over and over again. I mean, all that happens tge the following: Lee and Elle hang out Guys flirt with Bok without her realizing it Noah gets possessive and beats someone up; Elle gets mad Noah and Elle fight Noah and Elle make up and then make out That process continually repeats itself over and over again.

There's no change that occurs. The constant whiplash of the two romantic leads was irritating, and for Elle making a huge deal about how she had never kissed a guy before, she sure jumped ship quickly when she slept with Noah after only making out with him once. I mean, really? And then, to check your childs number search is the kissing booth a book morning, she completely regrets it. Just, ugh I think I've made my point. View all 11 comments. First of all, let me say this: I get it. I understand why Elle fell for Here. The hot bad boy who turned into a romantic guy. A lot of aspects were changed. But still, the most important things were kept. And yeah, maybe I shed a First of all, let me say this: I get it. The movie gave me chills. Elle was such a naive girl and Noah was so misunderstood. But they were so perfect for each other! At least in the book they were. On screen, Noah was way too tall! And Elle could have been prettier. Still, the concept, the story: 5 stars! It really does turn people into saps. Can you imagine that this obssesion with the movie and the book started because I saw the movie trailer 3 days ago on Facebook?! View all 24 comments.

Jun 20, Carie rated it did not like it. This book was pretty terrible. For many reasons. For brevity's sake, I will limit my check this out to one main reason it was terrible: it was written by a 17 year old girl. A world where you get want you want, just by wanting it. The world according to Kissing Booth: warning, the examples are spoilers-ish: 1. Noah gets into fights all the time with no consequences. Tell me a high school in the country that does not suspend for fighting. Turns out Noah who is captain of the football team suddenly gets accepted to Harvard! Even though he never seems to study or worry about grades. Article source allow all sorts of things: underage drinking "Just don't do it again! Elle goes from link kissing a boy to sex with her best friend's brother in no time flat, all with little emotional fall out! Noah, although violent, super controlling, and emotionally manipulative changes!

I blame Beauty and the Beast for this one. Just be really really nice, and he will come around girls! Love conquers all, especially the love of teenagers! Obviously, I am not a fan. I would even go as far as to say, I think it's a little irresponsible. View all 7 comments. This is much better than the movie! The utter insipidity, the fundamental mediocrity of this, coupled with the fact that not only Random bought it, but Netflix made a film of it, and that millions of teens fell for it, gives me a major fright. I mean. Thank God I regularly see several teenage readers here on GR who show a markedly higher level of erudition. View all 4 comments. Oh dear. This book- this book was a mess to the point where I would legitimately tear it apart had it not been on my kindle. When you hear a bookworm saying that they would tear apart a book, that's your cue to leave this forever in the dusty not picked up pile. Honestly, this whole book was just making out, screaming at each other, fighting, is the kissing booth a book characters acting like all around stereotypical abusive teenagers.

To put it simply. So you're got a shaky is the kissing booth a book. To add to that, I found quite a f Oh dear. To add to that, I found quite a few typos and grammatical errors, and the author's writing style wasn't good to begin with. So you're adding some cheap bones to that house. Then, to top it all off, this book is problematic in terms of the main character keeps deciding to come back to an unreliable, abusive idiot. So obviously our house fell down. To start this book off, we have Elle and Liam lay around not doing anything, cracking offensive jokes that rely on read more standards. So that was a fun twenty percent. Then, the kissing booth starts to come into play and they talk about it more and more and you have some more jokes about how boys can't wear dresses and girls can't like masculine things.

So even more fun there. After a bunch of build up and a whole title based off of it, the kissing booth runs. Elle kisses Noah. The kissing booth runs for a full five pages. So that's where our making out, fighting, screaming, and abuse comes in. The rest of the book on is just that. Making out, fighting, screaming, and abuse. This is the most basic book that I have ever read with my own two eyes. How this got published? How it got adapted by Netflix? Unfortunately, my calculator does not compute these highly unrealistic, just simply stupid events. So we're just going to talk about why this is problematic. Basically, Noah's been going around telling boys that he'll hurt them if they ask Elle on a date. Not to mention the fact that he's threatening assault on people who did absolutely nothing.

And that also plays a big theme throughout the book, but that's definitely not in the way it should. What should've happened is Elle should have stood up to Noah and told him to quit it, the fact that you can't check this out another person's life or dating life and it is not hot when someone does should've come into play, and many other discussions about it should've been held. Instead, Elle hasn't gone through a first kiss, first date, doesn't know how to act on dates, etc. I'm not sure this could've gotten any more shallow.

The fact that Noah's been controlling her dating life and not letting her do her own thing also makes Noah super super hot. There were also moments when Noah would force Elle into making out or doing whatever else when she had clearly said no. And that is a big no-no. N-O Noah. Can you say it with me? Since it's quite obviously this book has shown he has no idea what the meaning of that word is. I'm not even going to begin to dive into these shallow, self obsessed characters and this cringe-worthy writing, but to put it shortly, they were awful. Long story short, I hated this book and will never recommend it to anyone unless of course they're looking for a book to compete with their least favorite book.

I do not recommend supporting and reading this book, but if you do decide to, I wish you luck. You will most definitely need it, fellow reading comrade. The story here is simple — is the kissing booth a book and boy Elle and Lee have been best friends literally since their birth on the same day, in the same hospital. But when the school carnival rolls around and Elle and Lee find themselves running the most popular booth of all, things start going a little sideways.

Which leads to Elle and Noah following the sage advice of one R. But seriously, they decide to keep it on the down low. What can go wrong, right? If you grew up on John Hughes movies is the kissing booth a book are not a member of Generation Butthurt, you might find this enjoyable as well. Or you can make me morph into Mallory Archer and want to scream at you. Because you refuse to stop being obstinate long enough to attempt to understand the points Beth Reekles was trying to get across. I thought this was adorable. A cheesy and cliched rom-com drama is what this book has to offer, one time read, but I guess, the story could have been much better. And certainly, please not a movie on this book! It's a total pain. Synopsis: Meet Rochelle Evans: pretty, popular--and never been kissed. Elle, a high school junior, is back from the summer haze that turned her into a beautiful young woman.

And little did she knew that she caught the eye of every guy in her school. But unaware of that fact, she went on with her days with her next-door-neighbor-cum-best-friend, Lee. Lee is a childish read more of is the kissing booth a book, who protected Elle like his own sister, practically, they acted like twin siblings as they were born on the same day and at the exact same time. So together, they plan a Kissing Booth for charity on their is the kissing booth a book spring is the kissing booth a book. But to Elle's surprise, who has never been kissed before, found herself kissing the guy whom she had a crush on like forever, and that is, Lee's older brother, Noah. Now Elle and Lee made a bunch of childish friendship rules when they were kids, so dating or kissing or sleeping with Noah would be big no-no for Elle and Lee's friendship.

Anyhow, Noah and Elle begin to see each other secretly, but hell breaks loose, when Lee finds out about their relationship. What will happen then? The author's writing style is okay, not that great. The plot lacks emotions, hence the readers will fail to connect with the characters and their emotions. The dialogues are crappy and way too cheesy, no one, especially, no teenager now talk or communicate in this fashion ever. For realistic dialogues, refer to the book, 13 Reasons Why. As a whole, the story is is the kissing booth a book been there, done that" kind, it's a very common story, when a girl is falling for her best friend's brother. But what the book lacked strongly was the true essence of friendship and its bond between Elle and Lee, instead of shedding too much light on the immature teenagish love story between Elle and Noah.

The characters are not at all close to reality, they lack honesty in their demeanor. I felt like reading about a bunch of fashion models who happen to be fictional. So many elements and layers lacked in this book, especially the cast of parental characters, who are supposed to play a strong role in the life of these teenagers, and the transition from having a mother to having no mother in the life of Elle is pathetically depicted in the book. Like I said, the characters lacked to show any kind of emotion, only teenagers action high on their hormones. But hey, if you want to re-live your teenage summer days blazing in the afterglow of the summer sun and a hot crush's kiss on your lips, then do grab a copy of this book now, as the author has vividly painted the summer days and how teenagers waste it high on alcohol, parties, kisses is the kissing booth a book one-night stands.

PS: The movie is as pathetic as the book, so don't waste your time in watching it on Netflix. There are better shows and movies streaming currently on Netflix, avoid The Kissing Booth at any cost! Verdict: There are other better contemporary fiction available in the bookstore, that need your attention, but just not this one! Courtesy: Got this in a giveaway. View 2 comments. Oh no It's okay again, we can ride off on a bike in the happy sunset not actually true but you get the meaning. I don't like the fact that Noah is described to love Violence and that Elle kind of likes it as he wouldn't be him without it.
